I was born and raised in the deep south where patriarchy is supreme. So for kicks, I decided to make it my personal & professional mission to help high-performing women disrupt the internalized narratives limiting their growth and freedom—ultimately freeing themselves to live and lead with intention, confidence, and belief in their ability to change their lives.

What I mean when I say alignment...

Hey Friend, I want to pause and clarify something—because the word alignment gets used in a lot of different ways. When I talk about alignment, I’m not talking about something abstract or spiritual. I’m talking about positioning. Alignment is about how your mindset, your values, and your actions are positioned in relation to each other—and in relation to the direction your life is actually moving. When those things are working together, movement feels steadier. When they’re working against...

Hey Friend, Over the last couple of emails, we’ve been sitting with that quiet sense of something being off—and the kind of tired that rest doesn’t always fix. We talked about how, when the body has been holding too much for too long, it can shift into a kind of functional freeze. A survival mechanism that allows you to stay capable and responsible on the outside while being emotionally muted or detached on the inside. There’s another word I sometimes use to describe what’s happening...

Hey Friend, The other day, I talked about that persistent tension that shows up when something feels off. Today, I want to name something I hear women say often while living inside that tension: “I don’t feel rested…It’s like my body won’t relax.” They’re doing all the right things:✅They take time off. ✅They get a full night’s sleep. ✅They try to be more intentional with their energy. And still, the heaviness lingers. The body doesn’t feel restored. That kind of exhaustion isn’t always coming...

Hey Friend, As we step into 2026, I’ve been thinking a lot about what it actually took to get here. 2025 wasn’t easy. For many of us, it required a lot of adjusting, carrying extra emotional weight, and operating by a general game plan to just keep things moving. However you found your way into this new year, YOU DID THAT! 👏🏾 🎉 🥳 And now that you’re here… The question becomes, will you keep pushing through with that same “thug it out” energy? Looking good on paper.Being capable. Responsible....

Hi Friend, The other day I was sitting in my she-shed (it’s my happy place🤗) watching the squirrels run around my plants. I really do hate it when the squirrels dig in my plants... so annoying. Anyway, I found myself contemplating the big oak tree that grew in the front yard of my childhood home in Little Rock, Arkansas. In 2012, I moved back into that childhood home with my own children. The tree was just a beautiful and majestic as I remember. However, as an adult I had a different...

YES, life is life-ing… “Life is life-ing” is a phrase that has become a widely accepted and understood response to any inquiry about wellbeing. I hear it at the beginning of sessions with clients. I catch snippets of it in random phone conversations while walking through the park or shopping in a store (I’m not ear hustling—they’re just loud). I read it in blogs and hear it on different podcasts. Truth be told, depending on the day I’m having, I, too, will declare the “life is life-ing”...
